Rotary Point is the result of a public-private partnership among the seven Thurston County Rotary Clubs, the City of Olympia, and local neighborhood associations and friends. Working together to create a lasting legacy, Rotary Point is located within the city’s West Bay Park, an area adjacent to Budd Inlet and the future West Bay Trail. It is just a short walk from the 4th Avenue Bridge and Seven Oars Public Park. Groundbreaking is scheduled to occur in mid-2009. |
An area of approximately one acre, Rotary Point is located on the west side of Budd Inlet, directly across the water from the port loading cranes. With an amazing view of Mount Rainier, the State Capitol and downtown Olympia, Rotary Point will be a place for people of all ages to enjoy a picnic, toss a frisbee, launch a kayak, or simply play along the water’s edge. |
